Write For OurPhysique
Health, Fitness, Nutrition, and more — honest writing welcome across every category.
Accurate, honest, well-sourced fitness writing is the whole engine of this site, and there's always room for more of it from people who can actually deliver that. Know your subject, cite your claims, write like a human and not a content mill, and this page is your way in.
The standard runs higher here than at most sites asking for guest posts, and I won't pretend otherwise. That's on purpose. Higher bar, work worth reading, a contributor credit that actually means something.
What We're Looking For
The bar is simple to describe and harder to clear: writing that's accurate, sourced, and actually useful to someone trying to understand their body. Put plainly, the contributors who get a yes can do this:
- Back up claims with real research, peer-reviewed studies, established health bodies, not a half-remembered podcast
- Explain things in plain English without dumbing them down into something wrong
- Write with a genuine point of view, willing to push back on bad advice when the evidence calls for it
- Cover fitness, nutrition, training, body composition, or healthy living with real depth
Read an article here, thought you could write one to that standard? You probably can. Here for a quick place to drop a link? This isn't it.
Topics That Fit
Health, science, fitness, lifestyle, muscle building, fat loss, nutrition, those are the seven areas the site lives in. The pieces that work best inside them answer a real question someone would actually type into a search bar, the same kind of thing the calculators and existing articles already chew on.
Practical explainers tend to land. So does myth-busting with evidence behind it, a deep dive on one specific nutrient or training variable, or an honest take on whatever trend everyone's arguing about. Thinly researched listicles don't, and neither do rewritten press releases, anything promotional, or another "ultimate guide" that says nothing the last ten didn't.
Not sure an idea fits? Pitch it before you write it. Two lines saves us both the time.
Our Standards
Guest pieces run through the same editorial process as everything else here, and it's only fair you know that going in.
Sources are required, not optional
Medical and scientific claims need a citation that links back to credible research. If a claim can't be supported, it doesn't run.
Original work only
Submissions have to be unpublished and genuinely yours. We check. Anything spun, plagiarized, or generated as filler gets rejected, no exceptions.
Plain, human writing
Keyword-stuffed, AI-pattern filler isn't wanted here. Real voice, real specifics, real usefulness.
We edit
Expect a careful editorial pass, accepted pieces may be tightened for accuracy, clarity, and house style. The substance of your argument stays put unless we check with you first.
What You Get
Fair thing to ask, given we're after quality work. You get a proper author credit on the published piece, and where it sits naturally, a relevant link back to your own site or work. The readers here are engaged and growing in number, the kind who care about getting fitness right, so a credit on OurPhysique lands in front of people who actually value the subject.
Paid guest posts and placements dressed up as contributions, though, aren't a thing we do. This is genuine writing for a genuine audience, not a link marketplace.
How to Pitch
Lead with a pitch, not a finished draft. A short note does it:
- The topic or question you want to write about, and your angle on it
- Why it fits OurPhysique, and what makes your take worth a reader's time
- A line or two on who you are and anything you've written before
- A link to a writing sample, if you've got one
Fits the site? We'll talk through the details, length, sources, deadline, before you write a word, so nobody burns hours on something that was never going to land.
Send Your Pitch
Show me you've actually read the site and have something real to say, and you'll always hear back. The generic "I'd like to publish a guest post" template doesn't get a reply. Real replies, usually within 24 to 36 hours.
