Welcome to OurPhysique.com, which we'll just call "the Site" from here on. Using it means you're agreeing to these Terms of Use. If something in here doesn't sit right with you, that's completely fair, just don't use the Site.
1 Agreeing to These Terms
Using OurPhysique means you're confirming a couple of things: that you're at least 18, or that a parent or guardian has okayed your use of the Site, and that you've read these Terms along with our Privacy Policy and agree to both.
2 What This Content Actually Is
Everything on OurPhysique, the articles, the calculators, all of it, is general fitness, nutrition, and health information meant for education. That's the lane it stays in.
None of it is medical advice. It's not a stand-in for a real consultation, diagnosis, or treatment from a qualified professional. Anytime you've got a question about a medical condition, an exercise plan, or a change to how you eat, the right move is to ask a qualified healthcare provider. Don't brush off professional advice, or put off getting it, because of something you read here.
Our Disclaimer goes into the full detail on this.
3 Using the Calculators and Tools
The calculators here, BMI, body fat, TDEE, macros, ideal body weight, run on established formulas pulled from published research. What they give you are estimates, nothing more.
A few things worth knowing before you lean on them. They don't diagnose anything. Each formula has its own margin of error, and that margin moves around depending on which calculator you're using and whose body the numbers describe. Nothing a calculator spits out should be the lone basis for a decision about your health, your training, or your medical care, so run it past a qualified professional before you act on it. Use the tools and you're taking on how you read and apply whatever they tell you.
4 Intellectual Property
Unless we've credited someone else, the articles, calculators, design, images, logos, and code on OurPhysique all belong to OurPhysique. Where the line sits is pretty simple.
Reading, sharing, and linking to articles for your own personal, non-commercial use is all fine. Quoting a short excerpt is fine too, provided you credit it and link back to where it came from.
What we'd ask you not to do:
- Copy whole articles, or big chunks of them, onto another website, publication, or platform without written permission.
- Republish, redistribute, or sell anything from the Site.
- Feed the Site's content into artificial intelligence or machine learning systems without explicit written permission.
- Use the OurPhysique name, logo, or branding without permission.
5 How You Use the Site
Reach out through a contact form, a comment if those ever get switched on, or any other channel, and a few basic expectations come with it. Keep what you tell us accurate. Steer clear of anything unlawful, abusive, harassing, defamatory, or fraudulent. Don't go poking at the Site's systems, no accessing, scraping, hacking, or otherwise interfering. And be yourself rather than a stand-in for someone else. Break those and we may pull the content or block the user.
6 Links to Other Sites
OurPhysique articles link out a lot, to research databases, medical institutions, other reference sources, because that's how we back up what we say with something you can verify.
Those other sites aren't ours to control, and we're not on the hook for their content, accuracy, privacy practices, or anything else about how they run. Heading off to a third-party site is something you do at your own risk.
7 Advertising
OurPhysique shows ads through third-party networks, Google AdSense among them. They're meant to be easy to tell apart from the actual articles. We're not vouching for whatever gets advertised, and those advertising arrangements have no say over what we write or how.
Advertisers may use cookies and similar tools to gather information about your visits here and elsewhere. The Privacy Policy covers that in more detail.
8 No Warranties
The Site and everything on it come "as is" and "as available." OurPhysique makes no promises, spoken or implied, about:
- How accurate, complete, or reliable any of the information is.
- The Site running smoothly, error-free, or securely without interruption.
- What happens when you use a calculator or follow any advice here.
Using the Site is entirely at your own risk.
9 Limits on Liability
As far as the law allows, OurPhysique, its founder, its contributors, and its affiliates won't be liable for any damages, direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive, that come out of or relate to:
- Using the Site, or not being able to use it.
- Any errors, gaps, or inaccuracies in the content.
- Decisions you make based on what's here.
- Any health, fitness, or medical outcome tied to information from the Site.
That holds whether the claim leans on contract, tort, negligence, or any other legal theory, and whether or not anyone warned us such damages were possible.
10 Indemnification
You agree to cover and hold harmless OurPhysique, its founder, and any contributors against any claims, damages, losses, or expenses, legal fees included, that arise from how you use the Site, from your breaking these Terms, or from your stepping on someone else's rights.
11 When These Terms Change
We may revise these Terms now and then. When we do, the "Last updated" date at the top shifts, and anything major might get announced on the Site too. Sticking around and continuing to use the Site after changes go up counts as accepting the new version.
12 Governing Law
These Terms follow the general principles of international online commerce. Any dispute over your use of the Site, we'd want to settle through good-faith conversation first. If formal legal action ever became necessary, jurisdiction would come down to where the Site's operator is based.
13 Severability
If any single part of these Terms turns out to be unenforceable, the rest still stands and stays in full effect.
